Powerhouse vocalist Laura Landsberg is bringing her funk and soul group LL & The Get Down to Centennial Park! The music features some of the finest soul music

from the 70s ’80s and beyond. The Get Down is Paul Landsberg on bass, Steven Parish on drums, Darren Mahe on guitar, and special guest Gary Edighoffer on saxophone. Laura has been performing internationally with her own brand of jazz, blues, gospel and soul infused music for over 40 years. The CBC has called her, “a natural and a fresh original voice in music”.

Landsberg has been performing and teaching internationally for over 40 years. Laura is one of the “Divas” in the popular group “The Kootenay Divas”, has performed with Desafinado, a Brazilian group out of Spokane, The Mighty Po Po, Bobby Mcferrin, played the Kaslo Jazz Festival, the Sandpoint Jazz Festival in Idaho, guest vocalist with Chucho Valdez at the the Havana Jazz Festival, performed with Chris Brubeck, the bass playing son of DaveBrubeck, as well as appearing as special guest with the Spokane Jazz Orchestra, Hugh Fraser and VEJI (Vancouver Ensemble of Jazz Improvisation). Landsberg has two critically acclaimed recordings under her own name, “Naturally” and “A Simple Twist” Both have received rave reviews!
